This course is an “Introductory” course to the fundamental understanding of concreting – “best practices”. We will discuss why “best practices” is very important to successful safe building construction, industry terminology unique to concreting, where to find specific code guidance and technical resources when planning, designing, and conducting construction activities involving concrete.
Course Learning Objectives
- Understand what concrete “best practices” are and why they are so important to the design planning phase of construction.
- Learn where to find guidance on concrete requirements and how to meet building code requirements.
- Determine when and how to implement concrete requirements for the best planning and design.
- Categorize the pros and cons of concrete, and what you need to know to be successful in the approach to building with concrete.
