Process Flow Diagrams and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams
September 13 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm CDT
$35.00
Description
In recent decades, industrial processes and mechanical systems have become more complex to achieve higher levels of automation and efficiency. It is increasingly important to depict these complex processes with process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs). PFDs depict the configuration of system components and interconnecting piping. P&IDs illustrate the functional relationship of piping, instrumentation, equipment, and controllers. PFDs and P&IDs are commonly made by industrial, process, controls, and electrical engineers. However, it is helpful for engineers of all disciplines to be able to read and understand these diagrams. This course includes examples of PFDs and P&IDs to prepare engineers for real-world applications.
