Electric Power Delivery is accomplished through the efforts of three main entities: the generating company, the transmission company and the distribution company. Generating companies may be full service electric utilities that also own transmission and distribution facilities or independent entities that own only generation. In the case of independent generating companies, they need access to transmission facilities. This course will explain how that access comes about.
