Will my architect continuing education hours be reported to the AIA?
If you are a member of the AIA (American Institute of Architects), then we will report all of your continuing education hours to the AIA after you complete your continuing education courses with us.

Will my architect continuing education hours be reported to my state Architecture Licensing Board?
You will receive a certificate of completion for each architect continuing education course that you complete with PDH Academy. You can provide a copy of these certificates with your state license renewal, however PDH Academy does not report continuing education hours to any state Architecture Licensing Board. If your state licensing board performs a continuing education audit, then you will need to provide a copy of your certificates of completion for your architect continuing education courses.

Do you have an Advanced Building Code Course for Florida Architects?
Yes, PDH Academy offers an approved Advanced Building Code Course for Florida Architects. This course is titled Florida Building Code 7th Edition: An Advanced Course (AIAPDH227).

Do you offer any live or classroom architect continuing education courses?
PDH Academy offers live webinars, on-demand courses and correspondence continuing education to renew your architect license. We do not currently offer any in-person classroom continuing education courses. In our experience, most students prefer to complete their architect continuing education online using their computer, smartphone, or tablet.

Will I receive a certificate of completion after I take one of your architect continuing education courses?
Yes, a certificate of completion will be available to you immediately upon completing any of our architect continuing education courses. We can also email, fax, or mail copies of your certificates of completion to you if you would like.

Do you offer the 5 hour California Accessibility Course for architects to renew their license?
On September 16, 2021, California Governor Newsome signed Assembly Bill 1010 into law that requires California architects to complete five (5) hours of continuing education (CE) coursework regarding zero net carbon design (ZNCD) for all license renewals on or after January 1, 2023. This is in addition to the required 5 hours of disability access continuing education that was previously required in order to renew your architect license. We offer a 10-hour package that contains both the disability access and zero net carbon design coursework to satisfy your continuing education requirements.

Will I receive HSW (Health Safety and Welfare) credit for completing your architect continuing education courses?
We offer courses for both HSW credit or LU only credit. This is listed with the course information. Please be sure to check prior to the purchase of your program.

I am a licensed architect in Texas. Are your architect continuing education courses approved to meet our accessibility and sustainability requirements?
Yes, in fact we have a specific Texas architect continuing education bundle that covers all 12 of your mandatory continuing education hours, including the sustainability and accessibility requirements to renew your Texas architect license.

I have my architect license in multiple states. If I purchase one of your architect continuing education courses online will the continuing education hours only count for one state or multiple states?
Because all of our architect continuing education courses are approved by AIA (the American Institute of Architects) they can be used in any state for continuing education to renew your architect license.

Do I need to be a licensed architect to take one of your architect continuing education courses?
No. We have students from different backgrounds take our architect ce courses fairly regularly, so if you want to learn more about any of our architecture-related course topics feel free to enroll right online.

I received one of your architect continuing education books in the mail and would like to be removed from your mailing list. How can I accomplish that?
If you received one of our architect continuing education courses and would like to be removed from our mailing list feel free to send an email to support@pdhacademy.com and provide us with your name, address, and what state(s) you are currently a licensed architect in.

You sent me one of your architect continuing education books in the mail and I already have my continuing education hours. Can I give the book to someone else?
Yes. You can feel free to give our architect continuing education book to a friend or colleague.

I received one of your architect continuing education books. Can I use those hours for next renewal period or do I need to use them for my current architect license renewal period?
Architect continuing education courses expire with the AIA every three years, so you will just want to make sure you complete the course before it expires.

After I complete my architect continuing education courses, do I send my architect license renewal application to you?
No. You will send in your architect license renewal application to your state licensing board. The architect license renewal application should have an address on it telling you where to send it or where to renew online. Many state architect licensing boards will allow architects to renew online these days.
